The Sundridge Park Working Men’s Club has been a place many of you have seen your family celebrating in. From the cradle to the grave, every life event you could think of has had a glass raised within the walls of the club, many of you hiring the hall, DJs, caterers and even bouncy castles! The club has held regular events for the children of members of the club and entertained them over the years.
However the Club today is struggling under the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic and now needs it’s members to assist in the recovery, to ensure that we can go forward and hopefully once again enjoy the good times.
During the closure the Committee worked hard to carry out a number of refurbishments both in the building and in the garden. The decision was made to re-open the club by the Committee when the Government legislation allowed us to .The Committee then went on to prepare the Club following the Governments Guidelines set out in a 57 page document. It’s been a learning curve for us all and we believe we now have one of the most stringent Health and Safety procedures in place to protect our members. If you want to see more detail on this take a look on our website at the documents yourselves.
What we need now is the support of our Members. You can help in the following ways:-
Sundays has always been a favourite amongst many of you, we are aiming to bring back some of the most popular activities, ‘Find The Joker’ and the meat raffle.
You have to be in it to win it, so why not pop in during the week, purchase a ticket and a pint and then visit again on Sunday to see if you’ve won!
You have to be there on Sunday, we can’t keep the meat fresh in the Club so if you aren’t there it will go to the next ticket drawn.
